Accounts Payable Supervisor

The Accounts Payable Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the accounts payable team, directing the processing of invoices and payments, and supervising the day-to-day management of high-volume GSA client payables.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Trains and oversees accounts payable employees involved in billing functions.
  • Facilitates the preparation, review and reconciliation of assigned accounts payable invoices.
  • Leads new carrier billing implementation for new and existing clients
  • Acts as primary point-of-contact for any internal or external accounts payable inquiries related to assigned clients.
  • Assists with the fulfillment of internal and client audit requests.
  • Assists with the organization of the permanent files and other financial information physically in file cabinets and electronically on the shared drives.
  • Develops and maintains client vendor relationships
  • Ensures proper maintenance, filing, and storage of records for client audits

Education & Experience: (Minimum level of required education and experience)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting,  Finance, or Business Administration.
  • 3-4 years’ accounting experience with at least 1 year in a managerial or supervisory capacity.
  • Advanced Excel skills required. Proficient knowledge of Outlook and Word.
  • QuickBooks experience a plus, but not required.
