Accounting Specialist

The Accounting Specialist is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day management of assigned GSA clients by completing analysis and invoices for these clients.  The Accounting Specialist is also responsible for completing bank reconciliations and monthly QuickBooks reports for all GSA clients.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Facilitates the preparation, review and reconciliation of assigned accounts receivable invoices.
  • Acts as primary point-of-contact for any internal or external invoice inquiries related to assigned clients.
  • Compiles and analyzes financial information to complete corresponding invoice reconciliations.
  • Assist in preparation of monthly financial reports for clients.
  • Assists with monthly bank reconciliations for clients.
  • Assists with the fulfillment of internal and client audit requests.
  • Assists with the organization of the permanent files and other financial information physically in file cabinets and electronically on the shared drives.

Education & Experience: (Minimum level of required education and experience)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • 1-2 years’ experience in a financial environment, or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
  • Advanced Excel skills required. Proficient knowledge of Outlook and Word.
  • QuickBooks experience a plus, but not required.
